You’ve done a great job recruiting people into your downline and now it’s time to figure out how to keep them motivated.  We’ve all seen the folks that sign up when they’re all excited about a project or business and then just let it dwindle to nothing.  That’s when the countdown to nothing begins.  Let’s face it, for you to make money they have to make money so how do you get them up off the couch and going?  Everyone is motivated a bit differently, but there are a couple of universal motivators that may be very helpful.

Of course, the first and most obvious motivator is money.  Most people have a family to feed, bills to pay and dreams to fulfill.  All of those things require money, so use that as a mutual advantage.  Talk is cheap and there’s always the “easy for you to say” concept that plays into motivating people in a downline.  With that in mind, you will have to be prepared to help these people.  You may have to go to some appointments with them, personally walk them through how to sell the product or sign up a recruit.  This helps get them in a habit and once it feels natural to them, they will be much more independently motivated.  Show them how to make money with the business and work very closely with them through the point that they have their first couple of paychecks.  This will help them develop the necessary mechanics and keep them engaged.

Another big motivator for human beings in general is being given a feeling of worth and of being needed.  If you take the time to work with people in your downline individually, they will feel you care about their well being.  Once they know you care about them as a person and not just a dollar sign, they will likely be more willing to absorb and implement the things you are teaching.  In turn, they will feel they are needed in a much bigger scope than just helping you make money because they will also have developed a downline that needs to be mentored.

The key to keeping people is keeping them engaged in the business.  If you can combine their financial desires with their need to be needed you will motivate them to work toward their goals.  Following that, their self worth will grow and their couch potato days will end, but their successful business will flourish.

Just like the difficulties of having a hunchback that Quasimodo faced in the famous tome, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, an MLM newbie sponsor also has his/her own burdens to bear.  Because of this, it can often feel, particularly at the beginning, that everything is a struggle and that no one will take you seriously.  However, it is important to not give in to self-pity and give up just because of a few setbacks.  After some time and perseverance, you will be able to greatly increase your client base and, therefore, your income as well.  Although the hunchback of an MLM newbie sponsor can take a bit of time to overcome, pushing through will eventually pay off in the long run.

There are essentially two main elements creating the hunchback of an MLM newbie sponsor.  One is that you do not yet have an established downline that you can depend on to make you money.  The other is that you do not have a strong enough presence or reputation in order to gain the highly-qualified clients that will help you achieve the kind of income for which you are hoping.

In order to be successful in MLM you will need to find a way to cast off the hunchback of an MLM newbie sponsor.  Fortunately, time usually takes care of this for you.  The most common mistake that new MLM sponsors seem to make is not making the commitment to see their efforts through.  It is necessary to be aware that, most likely, your business will not take off overnight.  Although there have been rare instances of a business that ends up booming in very little time, this is not typically the case.  However, if you take the time to develop your business and a good reputation, you will find yourself building up not only a substantial number of clients, but also customers will be highly motivated and successful on their end, leading to a larger income for you as well.

As most MLM opportunities make highly-exaggerated claims, it can be a bit of a wake-up call when you encounter a bit of resistance in attracting clients.  Worthwhile customers that will end up paying off long term are savvy enough to be a bit wary of a sponsor that is new to this type of business.  They see the hunchback of an MLM newbie sponsor and then move in another direction.  However, with passing time and in gaining experience, this stigma will be lifted and success will eventually shine through.

As multi-level marketing is open to any number of people, there are plenty of self-proclaimed experts claiming to have the answers to giving you financial success.  However, many of these people have either just gotten into the business or else they do not have any sort of substantial track record.  Therefore, it is necessary to put on your “guru glasses”, so to speak, in order to help you spot a phony MLM leader that might end up wasting both your time and your money.

So, just how can you use your own guru glasses in order to help you spot a phony MLM leader?  Well, it is actually much simpler than it may seem.  First, you should always try to find out a bit more information about the person.  By using a routine Google search, gaining testimonials from others who have worked with the person, and speaking with the individual, you can get a better sense of how much success and experience the so-called leader has had.  With just a few easy and quick steps, you can discover a great deal about how long someone has been in the business and if are actually delivering on their promises.

When speaking with a potential MLM leader, you will want to take special note of if they are mentioning difficulties with multi-level marketing.  Of course, if they never mention any problems, that is a red flag as well as they are most likely not painting a clear and honest picture of the business.  However, if they seem to be speaking about more difficulties than successes, then you will definitely know that this particular person does not have enough to offer you and that you should clearly look elsewhere for someone else who can actually provide some real motivation and useful resources.

The plain and simple truth is that there are tons and tons of newbies out there claiming to be experts at MLM.  As there is no sort of rules or regulations on this kind of thing, virtually anyone can become a so-called expert even if they just got into the industry yesterday!  As you will be investing your time, money, and energy into your multi-level marketing business, you really need to put on your guru glasses in order to spot a potentially phony MLM leader.  After weeding out the faux-experts, you will more easily be able to find the professionals that can get you moving in the direction of money-making success.

Before we get into mentioning MLM’s let me first remind you about who Pinocchio was in case you have not seen the Disney movie in decades.  Pinocchio was a puppet that came to life and had a cricket friend named Jiminy Cricket trying to help him out.  Pinocchio is a character that is naïve and gullible so he was easily persuaded by a sly fox and manipulative cat.  What they wanted him for was everything but fun but they had Pinocchio believing everything wonderful they said.  Pinocchio was intently listening and believing things that many people would question and think were too good to be true.  However, there are smart educated people out there today that end up acting like Pinocchio believing everything they are told.  Below are 5 signs that could suggest that your sponsor is a MLM Pinocchio.

1.)    Most MLM Pinocchio’s will promise more money than you know is possible.  You should question how they come up with their income promises and never feel silly questioning your gut instincts when it comes to the sponsors.  As we all know our gut instincts are sometimes our best form of making smart business decisions when we cannot see the numerical proof on paper.

2.)    Does the MLM sponsor have money?  Sponsors can be very profitable so when there is not proof of substantial income to show what they have done monetarily, you could have a red flag waving in your face.

3.)    It’s not always a definite sign that the sponsor is a MLM Pinocchio but many times how long they’ve been in business can be a tell-tale sign.  You will not want to use the newest one on the web because there is not proof of what they are promising you will work.  In addition, if they’ve been basically taking money from people like you and not following through there’s a chance they are not still in this line of work.

4.)    Not giving enough support can surely be a bad sign.  The MLM Pinocchio may tell you that they will give great support but if you’ve experienced unacceptable support, you’ve probably run into a MLM Pinocchio.  A sponsor should want a business to succeed and be available for help.

5.)    When you start dreaming about Pinocchio at night and day dreaming about being as smart as Jiminy Cricket you’ve probably figured it out for yourself but have not wanted to admit it to yourself just yet.

Final note , avoid the hype and partner with people who will empower you to become the best possible entrepreneur out there.

There’s an interesting movement going on within the MLM industry,while most people are custom to the sales of lotions ,potions and miracle juices there’s a  new twist to the industry that has just arrived .People are jumping on board thinking they will be left behind if they don’t hop on the money train.

So what is this new concept and who can benefit from it?

The new concept is building your mlm through the process on coin collections, which in time will be a win win situation for those who collect the most coins and secure their originality to get the most bang for their money.Genius? I think so, network marketers are tired of the same old thing  as far as getting an autoship of the latest and greatest  juices which basically are cluttering refrigerators and garage space all across the globe.

Example 1-you’re at your buddies house over the weekend and do the “run down pitch” of going to the trunk of your car and magically have cold energy drinks ,juices,magic water ,your mlm has to offer and say to them grab anything you want it’s on me.Your Buddies will be waiting for the sales pitch after they have downed that beverage and ask you how much are these drinks brotha ? once you tell them they are like hell na! I’m not going to pay x amount on that, I’ll just go the store down the street  and get and get the hook ups.This happens more than you think.Of course there are exceptions like master closers who can sell you air and you’ll sign on the dotted line right there and then.

Example 2- Same buddies different weekend , you guys are having a good ol time and do the same “run down pitch” and pop open your car’s trunk and say “Hey fellas, got some gold and silver coins grab all you want it’s on me” ,you’ll be lucky if they don’t step all over you just to get their hands on it.They won’t say well I’ll just go to Ebay and get that type of gold and silver for dirt cheap, and if they do I’ll challenge them to prove to me ,most likely they are going to be disappointed with their research.With that said , if you are not a master closer building your business with gold and silver coins is the way to go if you have some basic marketing skills.
