PostHeaderIcon Defining MLM

As the name suggests, MLM (Multi-Level-Marketing), basically involves selling a company’s product directly to the customer by way of networking. Traditional retail selling is left to the brick and mortar businesses.

MLM is executed through a multi-layered distributor system where payments by the company are made to the distributors according to the distribution level they are in. Distributors are responsible for the business development and the revenue generation for the company.

The products sold are those that are used daily. Generally MLM is done by the companies that are offering products of regular use, such as, soaps, detergents, car wash, containers and cosmetics. This is not an exhaustive list, it’s merely a sample.

The convenience of shopping is another strong feature of MLM. Generally, MLM supports online shopping and at times even people network makes the shopping process easy. The distributor goes to the customer’s house, workplace or wherever it’s convenient to both the seller and the buyer.

The key features of MLM include networking, flexible timing and convenience.

Networking is the backbone and the soul of MLM. Word of mouth and trust play major roles in the success of MLM. People known to the distributor trust him or her recommendations and try out the products. If the products do have the impact on the customers, then these customers most often recommend these same products to other people they know. And so the snowball rolls.

There’s nothing quite like the flexibility of working for yourself. A MLM distributor can work for as long as he or she wishes to. Therefore, the time, money and efforts to be invested in MLM is totally on your choice. You may pursue it full-time or part-time as suits you.

Along with the convenience of flexible timings, MLM distributors generally work from home. They don’t have to show up in the office daily and they can work the hours that fit around other important things in their life.

Startup capital is usually very small as a MLM distributor. Therefore, you run little financial risk. But, do measure the risk-return ratio before venturing into any MLM business opportunity.

Is this a get rich quick business? NO. It takes a lot of time to grow in MLM. But, if you are determined to succeed there is nothing to stop you. Results will show.

PostHeaderIcon Who is Jim Coffman?

Hello friends!,
My name is Jim Coffman. Now some of the younger folks reading this won’t remember this but there used to be a TV show on back in the day that was called “This Is Your Life” and I would like to share with all of you out there today my version of how my episode would go on that epic show. I grew up in a north suberb in the Cincinnati, Ohio area where I stayed my whole childhood and eventually graduated high school. When I graduated high school I had every intent in joining the United States Marine Corps and going off to defend my country. Very unexpectedly though, as this has probably happened to 99.9% of most of us, life threw me a curve ball. I had gotten my girlfriend pregnant! To this day I can still hear Grandma saying ” I don’t know why you kids these days can’t keep it in your pants!” Needless to say my girl talked me out of joining the armed forces and I was going to start a family. (scared to death and clueless)
So here I am an 18 year old kid and off to find a so called real job. I started as a commercial roofer and I’ll let you in on a little secret. IT SUCKED! After only a little over a year I decided this wasn’t for me. So off to the next adventure in the glamourous world of tires! Yeah tires. Anything to put food on the table right? And these were not the small commercial tires that we all replace on our vehicles every couple of years. Industrial tires. I’m talking forklifts, backhoes, all heavy equipment. Hey I was young and strong so I could handle the strenuous work that came along with it but I knew that this was not where I was going to be 15-20 years from now. I had way to much knowledge, skills and abilities to be wasting in this kind of work but I did it for 5 whole years. It wasn’t a complete waste though because I finally got out of being a grunt in that industry and landed a sales job with one of our competiters. This is where I wanted to be! No more going home every night ready to keel over, feet hurting and back ready to break. This is where I started to accell. I was interacting with new people on an every day basis and found my niche. After only 3 years I had gone above and beyond the call of duty and outsold all of the other reps in my branch every month on a consistent basis including the branch manager who had been doing this for over 20 years. After a while some of the other reps would even joke and say things like ” Hey no worryies if we don’t hit our mark Jim will put us over our quota for the month.” It was funny to everybody but me. Not to mention that nothing any of us ever did, including myself, was ever good enough for the owner of the company and my manager. Yeah, the same manager that I was outselling. I put up with that for about 2 more years and one morning out of the blue I went into the office before anyone showed up, dropped off the keys, cell phone, phone card, gas card and left my 75k a year along with a $400 dollar a month car allowance all behind and to this day have never seen or spoken to any of them ever since. They even called my mother multiple times over the next two years trying to get me to come back. I could find another job as a salesperson easy because I was the man right? WRONG, but at least I knew where and what I wanted to be the rest of my life. So I got yet another job just to bridge the gap until I found the sales job that I was looking for. So I got a job as an entry level grunt on an assembly line building armored vehicles for the military and started all over again. I loved this job and the people I worked with so much that the job that I was getting to just “bridge the gap” lasted for 6 years! Over those six years I worked my way up the chain of command with a lot of hard work and dedication just like most of us do, survived a massive layoff of over 1000 people, and eventually made foreman. I was still not happy with where I was though because I found myself in a dead end job. I still wanted to advance. I approached my boss about my future and I may as well had been talking to the wall. I thought at first it was just because he didn’t like me but guess what? Turns out he didn’t like anyone. So one day I went back to him and this time the conversation did not go well and i was fired on the spot!
THIS IS WHEN I SAW THE LIGHT! I decided that this would NEVER happen to me again. No one would ever decide the outcome of my life ever again. I would never have another boss again unless his name was Jim Coffman! That man made me really see what a boss in the real world was. Just spell boss backwards with me people. Double S.O.B.! But it ended up that telling him what I really thought of him was one of the best things I ever did. Biting my tongue has never been one of my strong suits and never will be.
Now the happy ending that most of us love. I found the world of network marketing over the internet. I started my own home based business and haven’t looked back since. I’ve never been one to do that either. I heard a quote over 15 years ago and live by it and use it with people I come into contact with every day in this business and I’m going to share it with all of you here today. “Don’t ever look back unless your going that way.” I don’t even remember where I heard this from but it has impacted the way that I have lived my life every day. So now the story is freedom at last. No more getting up at 4 every morning to make someone else’s pockets fat while I bring home peanuts. Instead, Its get up, work out every morning to get my body and even more important my mind right and that is vitale in this business. If your mind isn’t right and the will is not there you will never succeed. You will go mainstream and join the 97% of people who fail in network marketing. That is when you have to look at the man (or woman) in the mirror and rise above and position youself as a leader and join the 3% that dominate the MLM world and help everyone around you to achieve the same thing. Because good players help themselves but great players help each other and that is how we should all be in the wonderful world of network marketing. That baby girl that I started this story with just turned sixteen two weeks ago. Sixteen years of suffering, struggling and personal anguish to finally find the freedom that I had been looking for and all of us in this business deserve. FINANCIAL FREEDOM! Now after only a few short MONTHS I am on my way to generating a 5 figure income every month on a consistent basis and looking forward to 6 figures. Remember that this does not happen over night. Get out of the way that most people think from A to B and think from A to Z.
I hope that I was able to touch some of you out there today and I look forward to hearing your version of “This Is Your Life.”
To All Of The Massive Success That Is Soon To Come Your Way!

PostHeaderIcon Finding Targeted MLM Leads

The objective of multi-level marketing (MLM) is to sell the product or service and to encourage the client to become an independent distributor, who then sells the service or product as well. Leads are vital for any business to grow, and in order for the business owner to have the greatest success, the leads must be curious enough in the business opportunity to have expressed an interest. The prospects that have expressed an interest in becoming distributors are known as Targeted MLM Leads.

To find targeted MLM leads, business owners must first have ample knowledge of their target market. Are they self-starters? Do they have the commitment necessary to be part of a network? Business owners must also understand the product or service, the company mission statement, and its goals and objectives well enough to offer a good sales presentation. Delivering a presentation, however compelling, to someone that has not shown interest in the product, service, or business opportunity is a waste of time and resources.

Business owners can acquire targeted MLM leads from various sources. The most convenient sources are the companies that compile and sell lead lists. The business owner, however, should be careful when choosing a lead list source, as some may be fraudulent. Some targeted MLM leads are identified through telephone interviews or direct mail response. Business owners can also obtain targeted leads from promotional give-away programs that have high traffic. Usually a person will fill out a simple survey to claim the promotional item, and the business owner can then use the survey to assess whether he or she will be a quality lead.

Another effective way to find targeted Leads is having those leads find you through attraction marketing, which makes the whole process less painful.
