Is it really possible to go from your couch to 40K? Yes!  However, here is the catch: you actually need to GET OFF YOUR COUCH in order to do it!  At first it can seem enticing, all of those great television programs, endless hours of relaxation, but sooner or later one must face the facts.  Sitting on your couch for days on end is no way to live and, especially, is no way to make a living!  The funny part about it is that so many of us, me included, have tons and tons of great ideas that come to us while sitting in front of our television.  However, these ideas will never end up making us any money unless we actually do something about them.

That is the most important part in going from your couch to 40K.  With so much time to think, there are plenty of great money-making ideas that come to us every single day.  However, we can often think that we have actually taken some sort of action on these ideas when, in actuality, we have done nothing more than spend more time in front of that darn television!  This false sense of reality can be a real income killer and can prevent us from fulfilling our professional and financial potential.

So, is it possible to go from your couch to 40K without putting forth a bit of effort?  Heck, no!  However, once realizing what kind of holding pattern that that big comfy couch and glowing box has you in, you can finally start joining the ranks of those making a substantial income.  It does not need to mean that you get a traditional 9-5 job and spend all of your free time working.  However, it does mean that you will need to get off that couch and start putting the ball in motion.

I know as well as anyone, sitting on that couch can seem all well and good for those first few weeks, maybe even months.  But, sure enough, those bills start coming in and you start living your life according to what television shows are on when.  It is a slippery slope and, oftentimes, it is hard to realize how far removed we are from the actual land of the living.  So, yes, you will have to give up a bit of TV time to go from your couch to 40K, but eventually you will replace that wasted time with a job that gives you enough money to upgrade that boob-tube into all-out plasma!

  • But Carlos we like our couches!!! :) You are right though, those of us that are out here and see what an impact we can have are not spending our time in front of the TV. I do not even know what is on TV anymore, and I do not miss it either.
    Thanks for shaking the couch…..

Television and Couches are so connected in the USA. …and it’s sad.

Great approach to sharing your perspective Carlos.

I like your cap page too! Very real and quick read is always nice.

$150,000,000,000 per year is 10% of ALL US Healthcare | Do you know what it is spent on? obesity is your answer for all the couch potatoes

  • Don’t we all just wish it was that easy. Kick Back…drink a coldie and watch the money roll in. And really a big thing you hit on was that tv….it is a profit SUCKER. Cut T.v time down 25% and people would accomplish so much more.

  • Carlos,

Your capture page pic cracks me up man. LOL very creative!

But you are dead on though – too many people sit on the couch watching t.v. and wondering why their business is suffering.

There comes a point when you need to get off your duff and treat your online business like a business instead of a hobby.

Way to give a kick in the pants brother!

    Carlos,

We disposed of TV service two years ago. The whole family has benefited from this decision. It has allowed myself to focus and I feel more upbeat. Crazy what the boob-tube will do to you.

  • This is so true Carlos! You can’t expect results if you don’t do nothing about it. As far as watching TV as Kathy said I don’t do that any more either, because I rather put all that time into my biz and get real RESULTS :)

      Katherine,

Thanks for the comment, Yes sitting on the couch doesn’t bring any results, maybe a beer belly for the men, but other than that just an income reducer..lol

Love the potatoe chips stuffed under the belt, cracks me up.

I turned off all the cable channelsa couple months ago and it has been awesome. More income producing activites are getting done with out all “the noise”. Also got rid of my couch wen I moved last so I think odss are in my favor.

    Thanks for the great post.

    Hey Carlos,

I rarely watch TV unless it’s Football season and that’s only one day out of the week. ;) I actually spend way more time online then I do watching TV.

You’re absolutely right though…People sit in front of the boob tube too often wasting their lives away. Honestly, how much money does watching Friends or the Simpson’s actually make you???

    Cute capture page BTW. :)

    Hey Carlos,
You know you have described 90% of the people. WAY too many are quite comfortable watching the world go ’round and doing nothing to improve their situation.

Thanks for reminding us why we do what we do.

    To Your Continued Success,
    Bill

Unfortunately most of those that get off the couch and choose to work online are looking for a quick win and that is unlikely. Can it happen, sure but does not for most. Most give up before they reach success. getting off the couch is on the first step as you say…saying in the game (or off the couch) is the challenge. I genuinely respect those that are off the couch trying to make a difference. Follow a good leader and you will find success.
